Since all anatomy and physiology texts prove that all parts of the human body are controlled and coordinated by and through the brain and spinal cord, logic would dictate that we need a complete and uninterrupted flow of the nerve supply to and from the brain and spinal cord. Since the spinal column surrounds and protects the spinal cord, the spinal column should be aligned properly, so that it, the spinal cord (and all of its nerve extensions), and all the tissues and organs it supplies, can function at their full potential.
The chiropractor looks for areas in the spinal column that are not aligned properly, and adjusts them back into their proper place. This should allow all of the body to be able to function at its full potential. Animal chiropractic, as with humans, can help them with similar conditions.
Our goal is provide the best care for your dog or cat, by restoring the alignment and mobility of the vertebrae. Although there are no guarantees, restoring the best function to the spine may indeed help. Any relief your dog or cat can get is a great benefit. Chiropractic care is an adjunct to your pet’s veterinarian care and does not replace it.
Dr. Johnson currently treats cats as well as dogs. Some of his four-legged clients are Whippets, Wheaton Terriers, Samoyeds, German Shepherds, American Cocker Spaniels, Sussex Spaniels, Labrador Retrievers, White Swiss Shepherds, and others.
